St. Paul’s Newsletter – 6 June 2024

Hello, Dear Friends!

I hope this letter finds you well, and that you have all recovered somewhat from our recent weather disasters. Here’s a look at what’s coming soon at St. Paul’s.

A Grain of Wheat, A Withered Hand, and Clay Jars

Last week (6/02), we heard what a grain of wheat, a withered hand, and clay jars have in common by reviewing some of the ways in which Jesus began to break through the rigid barriers of tradition to allow the will of God to be accomplished – that all should know the love of Christ. We were also reminded that we, though we be imperfect and fragile like jars of clay, carry this treasure of the Gospel of Christ’s love within us. Indeed, knowing our weaknesses, God still intentionally chose to grant us this gift. What an amazing privilege!

Please join us for worship this Sunday (6/09) at 9:30 a.m. We’ll hear more about the struggles Jesus faced in his life of ministry, and about who may obtain membership in the family of Christ.

Christian Formation

***Note: We will NOT have Sunday School this month.***

Later this summer, our focus in Christian formation will be on Spiritual Gifts. We’ll find out what they are, how you can discover which of these gifts you have, and how you can put them to practical use. Stay tuned for more information about this exciting curriculum.

Visits with the Vicar

The “Visits with the Vicar” sign-up sheet has now been posted on the church bulletin board. If you are unable get to the church, feel free to contact me via email to set up a visit. I will gladly come to you at a location of your choosing – whether at a restaurant (my treat) or in your home. This is not a formal affair; we’ll keep it simple (i.e. coffee, tea, or my drink of choice: water). My goal is to visit with everyone by the end of the summer season!
