St. Paul’s Newsletter – 26 June 2025

Greetings, Everyone!

Last weekend was fantastic! We are thrilled at the great crowds that came out for the first Claremore Pride festival. Follow that with the privilege of hosting seven guests at our Pride Mass, and you begin to understand why this vicar is so enthusiastic!

This Sunday, June 29, promises to be another exciting service as we, once again, join forces with Mt. Zion Baptist Church for another progressive service. Coffee and donuts will be served at 9:00 in the St. Paul’s narthex, then the first part of our service begins at 9:30. We will worship Episcopal style and hear a message from Pastor James Coulter, then we will travel (or ‘progress’) to the Mt. Zion church campus for the second half of the service where we will worship Mt. Zion style and hear a message from Rev. Nancy. This you will not want to miss, so bring a friend and join us at 9:00am! (***NOTE the early start time for this special service***)

Christian Formation: Summer Yoga with the Psalms

This week’s meditative prompt (June 19): Psalm 62

Our yoga sessions have been a wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day and to give ourselves time to meditate on God’s word. If you haven’t had a chance to attend yet, it’s not too late. Come on out this evening at 7:00pm!

As a reminder, these classes are FREE and open to the entire community, so spread the word and invite everyone you can! No yoga mat? No problem! The instructors bring extras.

Readings for Week 5 (beginning June 29)

  • Track 1 – Psalms 71, 75, 78, 84, 85, 91, 92
  • Track 2 – Psalms 71-94

Meals on Wheels Needs Volunteers

Substitute Drivers:

This job is simple and does not require a lot of time. Meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Drivers meet at the building to collect the groceries at about 9:45am, and are finished making deliveries by around 11:00am.

Kitchen Help:

For this job, you must have a food handlers permit from the Health Department to assist in preparing the meals before delivery.

If you, or anyone you know, is available to serve in either of these positions, please let Rev. Nancy know, or contact Jo or Linda at Meals on Wheels (jmmvww@gmail.com).
