LGBTQ Parents Support Group

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

When even one parent chooses to stay, listen, and love, it can change everything.

This support group is being created for parents and family members of LGBTQ individuals who want a safe, welcoming place to ask questions, share honestly, listen, learn, and grow together.

The group will be relaxed, listening-centered, and grounded in love. It is not about judgment or pressure. It is about helping families stay connected through care, understanding, and grace.

Who is this group for?

This group is for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and family members of LGBTQ people. It may be especially helpful for those who love their child or family member deeply but feel unsure, overwhelmed, afraid of saying the wrong thing, or simply in need of support.

Wherever you are in the journey, you are invited to come with honesty, humility, and an open heart.

What will we do?

We will gather for conversation, encouragement, and shared learning. The group will use resources such as books, short videos, and real-life stories to help guide discussion at a gentle and manageable pace.

We will:

  • Listen to one another with care
  • Ask questions without fear of judgment
  • Learn ways to better support LGBTQ loved ones
  • Strengthen family relationships through love and understanding

Why this matters

Many LGBTQ people carry deep wounds from family rejection, church rejection, or both. At the same time, many parents feel isolated and unsure where to turn. This group is meant to be a first step toward healing, support, and stronger relationships.

The hope is simple: parents feel less alone, families grow in understanding, and LGBTQ people experience more love, support, and belonging from the people closest to them.
