Unclobbered Bible Study

A Grace-Filled, Multi-Denominational Bible Study

Beginning Wednesday, January 14 at 6:30 PM, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Grace United Methodist Church will come together for a six-week Bible study hosted at RSU Stratton Taylor Library, Room 207.

This collaborative study will be a multi-denominational, grace-filled conversation centered on Scripture, curiosity, and faithful reflection.

Many Christians wrestle with questions about how the Bible speaks into conversations around sexuality and faith. Using Unclobbered, we will explore the six biblical passages most often cited in discussions about LGBTQ+ people and Christianity—reading them carefully, examining their historical context, and engaging how faithful Christians interpret them today.

This study is not about debate or winning arguments.
It is about learning, listening, and engaging Scripture together with honesty and care. we will be using the following book:

You do not need to agree with the book—or with one another—to participate. All are welcome who desire an open, respectful, and Scripture-centered journey.

In addition to our shared discussion, we will also view and reflect on a companion video series by Sam Powers, Lead Pastor of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church.

🔹 In-person and Zoom options available
