Hello, dear friends!
Last Sunday (9/14), we looked at how God desires to meet us where we are regardless of where that may be.
This Sunday (9/21), we’ll discuss the comfort that can be found in the knowledge that God is grieved when we grieve. Join us at 10:00am for Holy Eucharist, followed by coffee hour.
God Didn’t Make Us to Hate Us
Next Tuesday, September 23, at 7:00 pm, we will have our second of the 6-week discussion group on the topic of church hurt, utilizing the book God Didn’t Make Us to Hate Us by The Rev. Lizzie McManus-Dial. For this session, we’ll be discussing the introduction and chapters 1-7. We’ll meet in room 207 of the library on the RSU campus; or you may join via Zoom utilizing this link.

World Communion Sunday
Mark your calendars – it’s that time of year again! Twice now, we have gathered with several other local congregations to celebrate World Communion Sunday, and as they say, if you’ve done something twice in the Episcopal church, it’s tradition! This year, WCS is on October 5, and we will once again meet at Grace UMC at 12:30 to observe an ecumenical communion. What a wonderful way to acknowledge the things we share in common!
Halloween Festivities
This year, we have two opportunities to join with the community to provide safe and fun trick-or-treating for our kiddos (and kids at heart).
The first event takes place on Friday, October 24, 7:00-9:00 pm. It’s a Monster Mash Bash sponsored by Claremore Pride to support the local youth. We’ll head to the Claremore Community Center where we’ll be passing out candy, so start bringing in all the bags of goodies you can.
Then, on Saturday, October 25, we’ll be joining with our friends from the First Christian Church and Grace UMC for the annual Trunk or Treat festival held in the FCC parking lot. Here, we’ll be handing out coloring books, markers, colored pencils, crayons, and – of course – more candy (preferably not chocolate since it melts outside)!
Classroom Needs
Kudos to you, dear people of St. Paul’s!!! You were asked to help provide supplies to Christina, our “ambassador” to the students, and you have taken that task seriously and joyfully! Currently, the wish list is still the same: good quality No. 2 pencils, Post-it note pads, and Kleenex. So, keep up the good work; the next time you’re doing a little shopping, pick up one or two of these items, then bring them to church to donate.
