Hello, Everyone!
Sermon Themes
Last Sunday (7/12), the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, we looked more deeply into the freedom found in Christ, and learned that, ironically, the gift of freedom comes in surrendering ourselves and our stories to Christ’s larger narrative. When we strive to propagate Christ’s freedom in the world around us, it in turn increases our own spiritual freedom.
This Sunday (7/19), the 8th Sunday after Pentecost, we’ll continue our emphasis on freedom in Christ with a look at what it means to participate in the creative process of sharing this freedom with those around us – perhaps even when we feel they do not deserve it. Please join us at 10 am for Holy Eucharist, followed by coffee hour.
Summer Movie Night
Our second movie night is scheduled for this Friday, July 17, at 6 pm. We’ll be watching a comedy about the son of a gay couple who is set to marry the daughter of a conservative politician. Dinner will involve a taco bar and, of course, popcorn! So, invite a friend, bring your own lounging pallet, and join us for some fun and laughter.
Community Shelf
Our community shelf is dangerously low on supplies! Please add this to your regular grocery shopping list. As we have many people who are utilizing this resource, this has become a crucial ministry for us; so, keep the non-perishables coming! The donation box is located just inside the double red doors to the church building.
Ministry/Discretionary Fund
This is an account set up specifically for use to help people who contact us with a need, such as paying an electric or phone bill. Unfortunately, our funds in this account are very low right now. Though any undesignated offerings received on the 3rd Sunday of each month go towards this fund; it is not something that is regularly funded by our weekly offerings, but by special donations only. You can contribute to this account anytime.

Tuesdays at RSU
In September, we will resume Tuesdays @ RSU with the book Forging a Sacred Weapon by Kathy Baldock.
Cursillo
You are invited to attend the next Oklahoma Cursillo immersive weekend, to be held September 10-13, 2026, at Canyon Camp and Conference Center near Hinton, OK. If you are interested or would like more information, Speak with either Ron or Danny, our local Cursillo sponsors. Cursillo is a way of living out our Baptismal Covenant to learn and grow in Christ’s love. Dedicating ourselves to Christ – through piety, study, and action – enables our faith to become what we need it to be: deeply felt, lived in daily life, and spread by love in word and deed.
Three short sentences describe the core purpose of the Cursillo Movement: Make a friend. Be a friend. Bring a friend to Christ.
To apply to become a Cursillo member, please follow the link below. There are brief sections for you, your clergy, and your sponsor. Please complete and submit by August 15, 2026, for the upcoming weekend.
