Greetings and salutations, All!
Last Sunday (8/02), the 10th Sunday after Pentecost, we a looked at what can happen when we allow ourselves to rest in the security of God’s promise to supply all our needs – because God is good all the time!
This Sunday (8/09), the 11th Sunday after Pentecost, we’ll talk about the importance of reminding ourselves that we can trust God even in the storms of life. Please join us at 10 am for Holy Eucharist, followed by coffee hour.
Community Cooling Station
Our church building will be open every Friday from Noon-6pm (at least through the end of August) for folks in need to come in and cool off. We’ll have light refreshments and beverages available, and offer space for people to simply sit and take a break from the heat. Our Safe Church policies encourage us to have at least two volunteers on hand to serve anyone who may come in. The job is not difficult: simply be present to greet people when they enter and direct them towards the refreshments, seating, and facilities. If you are available to work part or all of any of these shifts, please let Ron Parker or Rev. Nancy know.
Community Shelf
Our community shelf is dangerously low on supplies! Please add this to your regular grocery shopping list. As we have many people who are utilizing this resource, this has become a crucial ministry for us; so, keep the non-perishables coming! The donation box is located just inside the double red doors to the church building.
Ministry/Discretionary Fund
This is an account set up specifically for use to help people who contact us with a need, such as paying an electric or phone bill. Though any undesignated offerings received on the 3rd Sunday of each month go towards this fund; it is not something that is regularly funded by our weekly offerings, but by special donations only. You can contribute to this account anytime.

Tuesdays at RSU
In September, we will resume Tuesdays @ RSU with the book Forging a Sacred Weapon by Kathy Baldock.
Cursillo
You are invited to attend the next Oklahoma Cursillo immersive weekend, to be held September 10-13, 2026, at Canyon Camp and Conference Center near Hinton, OK. If you are interested or would like more information, Speak with either Ron or Danny, our local Cursillo sponsors. Cursillo is a way of living out our Baptismal Covenant to learn and grow in Christ’s love. Dedicating ourselves to Christ – through piety, study, and action – enables our faith to become what we need it to be: deeply felt, lived in daily life, and spread by love in word and deed.
Three short sentences describe the core purpose of the Cursillo Movement: Make a friend. Be a friend. Bring a friend to Christ.
To apply to become a Cursillo member, please follow the link below. There are brief sections for you, your clergy, and your sponsor. Please complete and submit by August 15, 2026, for the upcoming weekend.
