Welcome to Advent, a season of anticipation. Last week we observed the first Sunday of Advent, a day often associated with hope. This Sunday (12\/08), the second Sunday of Advent, is associated with faith. Each week of Advent, we light a candle in the Advent wreath which symbolizes the drawing near of Christ’s coming. I encourage you to be intentional about making time during this busy season to pause and reflect with genuine anticipation upon the impact Christ has on your own hope and faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regional Advent Lessons and Carols<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A service of Lessons & Carols for the entire Northeast region will take place at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove (555 E 3rd<\/sup> St., Grove, OK) this coming Sunday (12\/08) at 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Come along and bring a friend to this special event commemorating the season. Tea and cookies will be served AFTER the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Special Offering for Medical Debt Relief <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Medical debt has become a crippling burden to many in our country, and we have the opportunity to offer some relief to those within Rogers county.
