I bid you Lenten blessings.

Last Sunday (2/15), the last Sunday after Epiphany, we explored Jesus’ command to his disciples, “Tell no one about the vision until after the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.” (Matthew 17:9) We learned that, while it is our honor to spread the good news of the gospel of Christ, there are times when the message may need to be delayed so that it may be more fully understood. Thus, it is imperative that we are always sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance for our witness.

This Sunday (2/22), we observe the first Sunday in Lent. To mark the season of preparing our hearts for the Lord even during confusing and trying times, we will worship according to Rite I and our music will be more reflective and somber. May this Lenten season be a truly holy one for all of us. Join us at 10:00 am for Holy Eucharist followed by coffee hour.

Lenten Dinner & Worship

This year during Lent, we will once again be collaborating with Grace UMC in Claremore, Claremore First Christian Church, and Verdigris UMC for weekly dinner and worship on Thursdays at 6 pm.
